We are proud to offer the following services at Rcons. Our team of proactive and skilled employees makes sure that the tasks are carried out with utmost sincerity and professionalism.
We broadly classify our range of services in to the following four categories:
- Studies
- Field Work
- Survey
- Data Management
The slide below summarizes the range of Service offered by RCons in a concise way:
Studies
Baseline Studies: a baseline study is one that looks at the target characteristics at a particular time or under a particular set of conditions to establish a "base line." This could be the incidence rate of a particular condition, for example, the airborne concentration of a contaminant. Subsequent studies of the same or similar workplaces at different times or under different circumstances will be conducted to see if there are changes as compared to the "base line" that was determined earlier. An effort will then be made to draw connections between the changes in the baseline and the changes made in the cicumstances.
Impact Assessment: impact assessment is a methodology to review the social effects of infrastructure projects and other development schemes which may have taken place in a particular locality.
Evaluation Studies: evaluation studies may be carried out the evaluate a phenomenon for the purpose of reporting and statistical evidence.
Field Work
Field Research and Interviewing: this includes conducting face to face interviews for collection of data by going door to door to reach a diverse target population.
Focus Group Discussions: focus group discussions may be held to gauge common perceptions of the people or to brainstorm upon certain ideas such as the infrastructure requirements in a rural area. It is a is a form of qualitative research in which a group of people are asked about their perceptions, opinions, beliefs and attitudes towards a product, service, concept, advertisement, idea, or packaging. Questions are asked in an interactive group setting where participants are free to talk with other group members.
Pilot Testing: The main purpose of pilot testing is to catch potential problems before they become costly mistakes. It is typically used if an instrument or method of data collection is being used for the first time or for the first time with a particular group (e.g., a survey used before with a different age group). Pilot testing provides information on how long data collection can be expected to take and a preview of how difficult items will be to complete. The latter is important as, with proper advanced notice, you can modify questions and possibly even the way you collect information (e.g., reading questions to people rather than having people read questions themselves).
Village Census: this is a demographic record of a small settlement such a village, where population is typically in thousands at most.
Child Testing: child testing is carried out to gauge the mental of physical abilities of children in a locality, this may be done through administration of exams or different physical routines.
Poverty Scorecard: The simple poverty scorecard is an easy-to-use tool that local pro-poor development programs in Pakistan can use for targeting, for monitoring their participants’ poverty rates, and for tracking changes in participants’ poverty rates over
time.
Surveys
School Suvery: a school survey may typically be carried out to evaluate the infrastructure facilities in schools or maybe simple to evaluate the educational standards.
Teacher Survey: these are carried out to monitor the proficiency of teaching methodologies and the standard of education of the teachers themselves.
Household Survey: the Household Survey is a survey that may be conducted on an annual basis to collect data about private households in a locality. The aim of this survey is to provide government departments and organisations with information on a range of topics concerning private households for monitoring and policy purposes.
Data Management
Development of Data Entry Software: we develop custom softwares to suit the needs of our clients, this involves implementation of automatic redrawing of charts and figures based on the changes in the data.
Data Coding: data coding may be done to achieve certain tasks which need to be automated as per client requirements.
Data Entry: this is the process of transferring data from surveys/forms to computer systems.
Data Cleaning: data must be cleaned before it is fed in to computer systems so that erroneous and faulty items can be cleared. This is done to ensure the authenticity of the reports so that only valid data is used for processing
